Subscribe FAQ[Revised: 11/16]
There are multiple ways to subscribe to JKI.
1) RSS: The first, and the old stalwart, is RSS. RSS stands for “really simple syndication.” It takes all of our content and puts it in a “feed.” You can access one or both of our feeds at the bottom of the site, where it says “RSS FEEDS.” Simply click on one or both feeds, and you will be subscribed! This means that every time there is an update on JKI, the RSS feed updates your RSS reader. If you want to “rock it old school,” you still can. Click here for the simple RSS tutorial.
NOTE: Some web browsers allow you to read RSS natively, others do not. At the time of this writing, Firefox displays RSS like a text page. Chrome displays a far less user friendly “code based” display, which is why most Chrome users use another app for reading RSS. There may also be plugins that make Chrome RSS more user friendly. As for other browsers, I leave it to you to figure out.
2) EMAIL: We currently are not taking email subscriptions. This will be rectified soon.
3) PUSH NOTIFICATIONS: Probably the easiest and best method of staying informed is our push notification system. With it, you’ll be noticed in your browser when there’s news or updates at JKI. You simply opt in via the notice that pops up in your browser (you may have already seen it). For those of you who don’t want to cough up your email and/or don’t check your email regularly and/or who have WAY TOO MUCH email coming in as it is, this is definitely the way to go.
